says Karla Wayman, a citizen. She held up a photo of a baby. “My son’s life was taken way too early,” she says, by a 26-year-old male who was driving drunk with no insurance. She and her daughter were in a car behind her husband and infant son and watched the accident. “The man responsible had been charged with a DUI only a few months before the accident.” She says repeat offenders like that need to be taught a lesson right off the bat so they’re deterred from committing the crime again.   ….MORE

WARSAW — Wyoming County Judge Mark H. Dadd ordered an evidence hearing Monday in the case of a Perry woman charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated.  Erin A. Virginia: Meet the Sheriff — Sheriff Randall Fisher of Augusta County

Randall “Randy” Fisher joined the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office in 1972 as a jail officer. He worked his way through the ranks as a Patrol Deputy, Investigator, Lieutenant, and Captain.  Randy was appointed interim Sheriff in 1998 after the untimely death of Sheriff Glenn P. Lloyd, who had held the office for almost 14 years.  Randy was elected as Sheriff in a special election in 1998, and ran unopposed in the regular election in 1999.  Randy resides near the village of Crimora with his wife Elizabeth. North Carolina: Two drunks wreck into each other, one died, 4 kids hurt

GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) – The highway patrol says two drunk drivers caused a wreck in Gaston County Friday night which killed one of the drivers and sent five people, including four children, to area hospitals.   The wreck happened just before 7 p.m. on Tryon Courthouse Road near Cherryville.    According to the Lt. South Dakota: DWI driver stole car when woman left it running outside of store…with baby in her car…he was caught, she should be charged as well

A one-year-old is home safe Monday night, while a Sioux Falls man is behind bars. James Freemont Farmer, Jr. is accused of stealing a car, and what he apparently didn’t realize is there was a baby inside.   Grand theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, DWI, and driving without a license are now listed in Farmer’s criminal history.
