LOCKPORT, NY – An initial call for a truck stuck in the mud, turned into a DWI charge for a Lockport Attorney.
A call came into Lockport State Police around 10:19 p.m. on Wednesday night for a pick-up truck stuck in the mud on Crosby Road. Police discovered the driver of the vehicle was attorney Daniel Seaman, 65.
After interviewing Seaman, the troopers asked him to perform a few sobriety tests, which he refused. Seaman was then taken back to state police barracks in Lockport and also refused a breathalyzer test.  …..MORE

Virginia: DC news photographer follows drunk driver for 25 miles, witnesses boozy escapade

Even though WUSA photographer records erratic driving and arrest of a DWI driver, WUSA fails to identify the driver!  Who are they protecting?

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (WUSA) — A local man was arraigned in a Virginia courtroom, charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
What makes this case unusual is that his erratic driving was all caught on tape, by a 9News photographer who was instrumental in his capture.
Photographer/reporter Kurt Brooks, was driving home after the 11pm newscast and found himself behind an erratic driver. His video offers us all a rare glimpse of what happens when someone who ends up charged with DWI gets behind the wheel.
Recalled Kurt, “He was acting a little erratic, so I decided the best defense was a good offense. Get around him. Get away from him.”   ….MORE

WASHINGTON – There are new questions are being raised about the methods used by the D.C. Office of the Attorney General to win convictions in DWI cases.
FOX 5 has learned prosecutors used scores from decertified breath machines to secure guilty pleas in at least two cases.
Court documents show prosecutors also used questionable breath scores to win several dozen convictions and not the handful they first admitted to.
