Texas: Jonathan Lacier Davis charged with intoxicated manslaughter after setting off fiery crash that killed woman

HOUSTON (Aug. 5, 2011) – Charges have been filed against the driver who, police say, caused a fiery crash that killed a women early Thursday morning.
It happened around 3 a.m. on the W. Sam Houston Parkway feeder near Harwin.
Jonathan Lacier Davis, 22, is charged with intoxication manslaughter.
Police say Davis was speeding southbound on the feeder road when he ran a red light at Harwin and struck a red Honda Civic….MORE

Two Buffalo County highway workers have been fired after both pleaded guilty to unrelated drunken-driving charges.
Fred W. Linse, 56, and Tom Runions, 52, both of Alma, Wis., had jobs with the highway department that required them to hold valid commercial driver’s licenses, which they lost after pleading guilty to the charges.

Caddo sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man who allegedly ran over an innocent bystander to an argument late Wednesday at a mobile home park in Blanchard.
Joshua Yandell, 38, of Shreveport, was arrested for DWI, attempted second-degree murder and home invasion. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center where he remains with no bond set on the attempted murder and home invasion charges, and $1,000 bond for DWI….MORE

On July 15 from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., the Elmwood Park Police Department conducted a driving while intoxicated checkpoint on Route 46 West at the Boulevard. The next evening, another checkpoint was conducted from approximately 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. in the same location. A total of 18 people were arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) during the two checkpoints.
Lukasz Krol, 19, of Garfield, was arrested by Elmwood Park Police Officer Michael Prelich on a charge of DWI.
Iris Malavet, 43, of Elmwood Park, was arrested by Elmwood Park Police Officer Nick Petronzi on a charge of DWI.
Rafael Pared, 26, of Paterson, was arrested by Elmwood Park Detective Alex Echevarria on a charge of DWI……MORE
