WILTON, Conn. – The editor of The Advocate newspaper in Stamford and Greenwich Time was charged with driving under the influence early Saturday, according to a story posted on the newspaper’s websites.
David McCumber, 59, is the editorial director of the Hearst Connecticut Media Group. He lives in Wilton.
According to the report on The Advocate site, McCumber was pulled over on Seeley Road at 1:30 a.m. and also was charged with failure to drive in the proper lane…..MORE

California: early morning booze cruise in caddy less than healthy for passenger; he makes date with undertaker

A Santa Ana man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and driving under the influence today after a passenger was killed in an early morning wreck near Chino Airport.
A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department news release said that about 3:30 a.m., a Cadillac Catera with four occupants struck a dirt embankment near the intersection of Kimball and Hellman avenues in the Eastvale area.
A passenger, Joseph Castro, 20, of Santa Ana, died at the scene. ….MORE
