Illinois: Tabitha Week’s wobble across center line leaves young father dead and his family injured; booze said to be a factor

As Franklin County Sheriff Don Jones explains, a “2011 Chevy Cruise, driven by Tabitha Weeks, was east bound, as I understand it, and crossed into the lane, the west bound lane, of the 2010 Dodge Caravan. It was occupied by 6 people.”

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -A man from Bonnie has died after a wreck in Franklin County.
According to Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler, the crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday on Rend Lake Dam Road.

California: Sunny Hall doubles down on body count, charged with DUI as two die

ALPINE (CNS) – An El Cajon woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving early Monday following a crash that left two motorists dead on an East County freeway, authorities said.
The double fatality on eastbound Interstate 8, west of Tavern Road, occurred just before 3 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 25-year-old Alpine woman lost control of her eastbound 2009 Toyota Yaris for unknown reasons and traveled up an embankment, then rolled her vehicle several times before coming to rest in the No. 1 lane of eastbound I-8, said CHP Officer Brian Pennings.
A 59-year-old El Centro man was driving a black Chevrolet Silverado and either crashed into the Yaris or stopped intentionally to render aid, Pennings said. The man was outside of his pickup when 30-year-old Sunny Hall of El Cajon …MORE

Victims Identified
ALPINE — A 25-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man were killed in Alpine early Monday in a crash involving a suspected drunken driver.

Florida: firefighter who got himself hosed, also was tasered three times, now runs up his score with a DUI

A firefighter lieutenant who was placed on paid leave after an incident in which he was Tasered three times at a Jupiter restaurant was arrested again Sunday on a DUI charge.
Joshua Goodfellow was booked at 3:43 a.m by Jupiter police and released on $1,000 bond after 1 p.m., records show.
Goodfellow, 34, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge two months earlier after police said he was wrestled to the ground by an employee of a Jupiter restaurant where he was looking for his wife. Goodfellow later pounded on the locked glass door of the restaurant and an officer reported smelling alcohol on his breath. He was Tasered three times and taken into custody.
West Palm Beach officials said at the time he was placed on paid leave.
