MIDDLE FALLS — After leading police on a chase through multiple towns in Washington County, a Schuylerville man, who was allegedly drunk behind the wheel, crashed the truck he was driving without license plates into a utility pole on Route 29.

Texas: “Midnight Martin” Hernandez driving drunk causes chain-reaction wreck on freeway; now sobering up in slammer

HOUSTON—A drunk driver was sobering up behind bars Friday after driving the wrong-way on the North Freeway and causing a chain-reaction crash involving a Houston police car.
Police said Martin Hernandez, 33, was driving a brown Chevy Silverado northbound in the southbound lanes on the North Freeway at Tidwell around midnight. Police received several calls about the driver and an officer was on the way to check it out. That officer was cresting over the hill when he almost ran head-on into Hernandez.

Virginia: DWI Chesterfield firefighter couldn’t outrun cop so he decided to fight him! Aubrey Smith goes down for the count!

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) – A Chesterfield firefighter is facing a series of charges related to a suspected drunk driving incident.
 A police officer says 41-year-old Aubrey Smith tried to outrun the law then turned on the officer.
According to court documents, on the night of June 29th Smith was arrested for speeding, driving under the influence, eluding police, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
The police report says, Smith was driving almost 20 miles over the speed limit on Route 360 in Amelia. When a deputy tried to pull him over, Smith is accused of speeding up, before stopping in his own driveway…MORE

New York: Derek R. Manwarren charged with DWI manslaughter in death of Brian R. Cook

Truxton, NY — A Manlius man was killed early this morning in Truxton when he was struck by a vehicle while he was changing a tire in the town of Truxton, state police said.
Derek R. Manwarren, 21, of Truxton, the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed Brian R. Cook, 26, of Manlius, was later charged with driving while intoxicated and vehicular manslaughter, troopers said.
