New York: Jayne Wardwell-Christy charged with DWI and crashing into police car; injured two troopers

On November 20, 2012, Clarence State Police Members responded to a report of a property damage automobile accident on Salt Rd. in the town of Clarence. Upon arrival at the scene the Troopers observed a vehicle that was towing a second vehicle, that had extensive damage, north on Salt Rd. A traffic stop ensued and subsequent interview revealed that William T. Timmons, 20, of Clarence was operating his vehicle south on Salt Rd. and struck a tree off the east shoulder. Timmons then contacted Karl E. Struebel, 21, of Clarence, to assist him in removing his vehicle from the scene of the accident. Further investigation revealed that both subjects had been drinking and under the influence of alcohol, they were subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
