Massachusetts: Mansfield District Attorney reports indictment of Nicholas Salvo for OUI murder of David Munise

A Norton man accused of causing a deadly crash back in April is now facing more serious charges.

Nicholas Salvo, 23, was indicted on a charge of manslaughter by motor vehicle, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office.

Police said Salvo was speeding when he ran a red light and crashed into another car on Route 140 in Mansfield

On Sunday, May 11 at approximately 9:32PM, Mansfield Police and Fire responded to the intersection of Hope St. and Pratt St. for a reported motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident. Witnesses called the station on 911 and reported a white box truck struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. Mansfield Fire, a short time later, reported seeing a white truck traveling the wrong way down North Main St. and officers responded to the area.

Kentucky: Michael Hilton charged with DUI after killing Brianna Taylor; critically injured a second teen

The driver that hit and killed a 17-year-old girl and critically injured another teen is now charged with murder and aggravated DUI.

On June 22, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office said Michael Hilton, 34, was driving drunk when he struck Brianna Taylor’s car. In 2006 Hilton was sentenced to three years in prison for repeated DUI offenses

New Mexico: State Police charge Michael Quiroz with 9th DWI

DEXTER, NEW MEXICO — 06/29/2014 — New Mexico State Police report that on Monday June 23, 2014, New Mexico State Police arrested 53 year old Michael Quiroz of Roswell, New Mexico, for his 9th DWI.

At approximately 5:08PM, an officer from the New Mexico State Police conducted a traffic stop on New Mexico State Road 2, north of Dexter, for speeding. The officer made contact with the driver, identified as Michael Quiroz. During conversation with the driver, the officer observed clues that the driver might be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was given Standardized Field Sobriety tests, which indicated he was under the influence.
