Pennsylvania: Upper Allen Township Police report DUI arrest of Leslie Kimmey after crash on US 15

Upper Allen Township Police report: On January 14, 2015 at approximately 11:25 AM, Kimmey was driving a vehicle and turned right onto Mt. Allen Drive after crossing a bridge over US Route 15. Kimmey failed to negotiate the turn properly and struck an oncoming car. When police arrived, they found that Kimmey was intoxicated and she was arrested at the scene for DUI. There were no injuries in the crash, but Kimmey’s vehicle required towing from the scene. Kimmey was transported to Cumberland County Prison for processing. A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date.

West Virginia: Huntington Firefighter Shane Masters busted for 4th DUI

Huntington, WVA. — 01/22/2015 — A Huntington firefighter was placed on suspension without pay after being arrested Jan. 4 on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

Shane Masters, who has been with the Huntington Fire Department since 2003, was arrested for the fourth time in connection with a DUI incident, according to a spokesperson from the mayor’s office.

Bryan Chambers, communications director of Huntington said the incident raises concerns for the city’s current policies on validating employees’ driver’s licenses.

“We conduct checks when someone is initially hired,” Chambers said.

Alejandro Alvarez, 21, a University of Maryland student who said he had been out all night at a Miami Beach club, turned himself in after having second thoughts about fleeing, Miami-Dade police said in an arrest affidavit released late Wednesday. Alvarez returned to the site of the collision some 20 minutes later and, while crying “hysterically,” admitted he had hit the cyclists, police said.
