California: boozy woozy Edna Gonzalez wrecked digital traffic trailer sign, cable box and traffic light; charged with DUI

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF. — According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Gaunt, on Saturday, June 28, 2015, officers from the Rancho Mirage Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision on S/B Monterey Avenue and Country Club Drive, Rancho Mirage.

The driver of the vehicle, Edna Gonzalez, 20, residing in Indio, failed to maintain a straight course of travel. Gonzalez’ vehicle collided with a Time Warner Cable box, a Solar Tech traffic control billboard trailer sign, and a metal posted traffic control sign, all of which were located just west of S/B Monterey Avenue.

Gonzalez was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into the county jail in Indio after she was treated and released at a local hospital.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages the motoring public to not operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
