LA QUINTA, CALIF. — According to On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at 5:44 A.M.,  the La Quinta Police Department responded to a single vehicle, non-injury, traffic collision on Fred Waring Dr. and Palm Royale Dr.  A white, 2006, Lincoln MKZ was traveling westbound on Fred Waring Dr. from Palm Royale Dr. and drifted into the center divider colliding with a street sign.

The driver, Elias Gonzalez, 25, of Palm Desert, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs.  Gonzalez was taken to a local area hospital as a precaution and then booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
