California: Erica Perez charged with DUI after she took her half out of the median strip and got her Nissan stuck at 2:28 am

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA. 2014-04-07 — According to Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Carroll, on  Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 2:28 a.m. officers from the Rancho Mirage Police  Department responded to a single vehicle traffic accident in the area of Gerald  Ford Drive and Mission Hills Drive, Rancho Mirage.  The investigation  revealed a white Nissan was traveling east on Gerald Ford Drive approaching  Mission Hills Drive when the driver lost control of the vehicle.  The  vehicle drove up and onto the center median at which time it became disabled.

The  driver was identified as Erica Perez, age 30 of Bermuda Dunes.  Erica  Perez was uninjured and was arrested for D.U.I.  She was later transported  to the Riverside County Jail located in the city of Indio.  It is believed  alcohol played a factor in this traffic collision.
