Everybody told him not to do drugs, but would he listen? No. Austin Mikels charged with DUI while taking drugs when he hit a cement truck

According to Sgt. Lamb of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Officers from the Menifee Police Department responded to a traffic collision on State Highway 74 x Sherman, in the city of Menifee. Austin Mikels, 20 years old from Hemet, was traveling east on Highway 74 when for unknown reasons, he collided with a cement truck also traveling east on Highway 74.

The collision caused Mikels vehicle to come to rest in a ditch on the side of the road. No injuries were reported, however, Mikels was determined to be driving while impaired by drugs. Mikels received a medical clearance at a local hospital before being booked for DUI at the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
