01/24/2016 — Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Michael Gaunt reports that on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at 10:10 PM, officers from the Indian Wells Police Department responded to a call of a three-vehicle traffic collision located at westbound Hwy 111 and Indian Wells Lane, Indian Wells.

The driver of the vehicle, Harrison Hunter Abramson, 26, from Tampa, Florida, collided with the rear end of a vehicle in front of him in the westbound number two lane of Hwy 111. The force of the collision caused the second vehicle to collide with the rear end of a third vehicle in the westbound number two lane of Hwy 111. The drivers and occupants of the second and third vehicle were not injured.

The investigation revealed Abramson was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Abramson was booked into the county jail in Indio after he was medically cleared from a local hospital.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages the motoring public to not operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
