Maryland: Police suspect alcohol at cause of fatal wreck in Olney; Lisa Ann Smith killed

At approximately 4:11 a.m., officers and Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the area of Hines Road at Blossom View Drive for the report of a collision. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2000 Ford Explorer was traveling east on Hines Road (towards Georgia Avenue) when for reasons still under investigation, it left the roadway just prior to Blossom View Drive and struck a tree and light support pole.

The 29-year-old driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 43-year-old female passenger was declared deceased at the scene of the collision.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that alcohol may have been a factor in this fatal collision.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The family of a Branford woman who was killed in a car crash objected Monday to the driver’s recent plea bargain agreement, as they said no one notified them beforehand.

Vincent Mauro, 32, of Branford, appeared in Superior Court in New Haven on Monday in a hearing before Judge Maureen Keegan.

This investigation revealed that Ramon Cordova, 26 of La Quinta, was parking his vehicle when he collided with a pedestrian in the parking lot. Cordova was found to have been driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and with a suspended license at the time of this collision.

North Dakota: Joel Kennard Little killed while on booze cruise with DUI driver Jason Michael Tolbert

Both Tolbert and passenger Joel Kennard Little, 34, also of Minot, were injured in the crash.

Little was hospitalized in Oakes, Jamestown and then Sanford Medical Center in Fargo before he died Thursday, Dvorak said
