DENVER – The hit-and-run driving suspect accused of killing a female pedestrian in Lakewood Thursday night has a history of driving drunk on a revoked license, according to court records.
Jonathan Dale Cordova, 53, is again accused of driving drunk on a revoked license just before midnight when a woman crossing Colfax Avenue west of the intersection with Wadsworth Boulevard was hit and killed by a white sedan, said Ty Countryman, spokesman for Lakewood Police Traffic Investigations.
The suspect driving a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant kept traveling westbound, followed by a witness in another car who got a license plate number and called police before to losing sight of the vehicle, Countryman said.
Police found the Mitsubishi about 1.5 miles away at an apartment complex near West 14th Avenue and Garrison Street and arrested Cordova, a Denver resident.
He was booked into Jefferson County Jail on investigation of hit-and-run, vehicular homicide and DUI — all felonies. He remained in jail without bond on Friday afternoon. …MORE
