Mulberry, Florida– “It was a horrific crash, one that should have never happened. Three are deceased because Ed McCoy chose to drink and drive,” said Sheriff Grady Judd last Sunday.
Now, 21-year-old McCoy has reportedly been arrested for the accident.

MULBERRY | A 21-year-old Lakeland man was arrested Thursday on three counts of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide following Sunday’s fatal collision in southwest Lakeland.
According to the arrest report, Edward Casey McCoy’s blood alcohol level was 0.234, or nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08, about an hour after the 2:40 a.m. collision.
McCoy, of 4435 Old Government Road, also was arrested on two counts of DUI with property damage and one count of DUI with serious bodily injury.
