The incident happened just a few minutes before students and parents began arriving at the adjacent Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School.

Principal Herb Boasso said he already was on campus at the time.

“I was checking to make sure it was isolated and not something we needed to worry about for the school,” Boasso said. “We were able to get a message to the parents to let them know that we would operate as normal because they were already calling and were worried about it. The police did a really good job of taking care of it quickly and making sure everybody was safe.”  MORE
