Jorge Parada Charged with DWI After Crashing into Atlantic City Econo Lodge

ATLANTIC CITY, N. J. — Atlantic City Police report that on August 12, 2017, a driver was charged with DWI after he was involved in two separate accidents.

At 5:08 am, patrol officers responded to Morris and Pacific Avenues for a report of a vehicle that left the roadway and struck a building.

Officers arrived to find a vehicle that had entered the lobby of the Econo Lodge causing extensive damage inside. The driver, Jorge Parada, had initially fled the scene, but eventually returned.

An investigation by Officer Joseph Bereheiko revealed Parada struck a vehicle after failing to stop at a red light at Texas and Pacific Avenues. At Morris Avenue, Parada lost control of his vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a traffic light pole and control box before entering the lobby.

Atlantic City Police say that there were no injuries reported in any of the accidents. Parada was arrested for DWI.

ARRESTED: Jorge Parada, a 22-year-old male from Pleasantville, NJ.

CHARGES: Driving while intoxicated, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, failure to obey a traffic signal, and unlicensed driver.

Parada was released with a future court date.
