New Mexico: Judge takes DWI court to high school auditorium

For the DWI offenders, it was probably something they never thought would happen with an audience of high schoolers. Handcuffed in front of hundreds of teens and headed to jail, the emotion from one second time DWI offender was seemingly sincere.  Doing his job from a different setting, Bernalillo County Judge, Daniel Ramczyk, says it’s tough to get in front of a group of teens and admit you messed up. Judge Ramczyk hopes it’s just another part of them learning from their mistakes.   Judge Ramczyk said, “As for the defendants here today, I think they already know they’re consequence to their poor decisions and they’re willing to face the consequences and talk to the students about their experience.”  MORE
