New York: State Police round up DWI drivers for Memorial Day weekend; John Peden of Virginia leads the list

According to the New York State Police, on 05/24/15 the New York State Police in Latham arrested John A. Peden, 60, of Dinddie, Va., for aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.  Troopers stopped Peden for moving from lane unsafely on SR 7 in the Town of Colonie.
Subsequent to the traffic stop, Troopers arrested Peden for Driving While Intoxicated.  It was determined that Peden had a blood alcohol content of .18%.  Peden was processed without incident and arraigned in the Town of Colonie Court.  Peden was remanded to the Albany County Jail on $800.00 bail and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Colonie Court on 06/04/15 at 6:00PM.

Erik Gregware DWI in New York SP 052515

On 05/23/15 the New York State Police in Latham Arrested Erik T. Gregware, 38, of Troy, NY for Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor.  Troopers stopped Gregware for moving from lane unsafely on I-90 in the City of Albany.  Subsequent to the traffic stop, Troopers arrested Gregware for Driving While Intoxicated.  It was determined that Gregware had a blood alcohol content of .13%.  Gregware was processed without incident and is scheduled to appear in the City of Albany Court on 06/01/15 at 9:00AM.

State Police in Queensbury arrested a Stillwater woman for Felony DWI following a traffic stop on Saturday night.  On Saturday, May 23rd at approximately 11:40 pm Troopers stopped Deidra L. Delossantos, age 38, of Hudson Avenue in Stillwater for an unsafe start and following other vehicle too closely on Route 9 in Lake George. Delossantos was found to have a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from her person and was removed from the vehicle where she failed field sobriety tests. She was arrested and was processed at SP Queensbury where she submitted to a breath test with a result of .15% BAC. Due to a prior DWI conviction within the preceding 10 years she was charged with Felony DWI. Delossantos  was turned over to a sober third party and is to appear in Queensbury Court on May 28th at 9:00 am.

So much booze she was nearly dead!

On May 23, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the New York State Police arrested Lauren Muscato, 24, of Greece, after a traffic stop for erratic operation on Rt. 104 in the town of Webster.  Ms. Muscato was found to be operating with a blood alcohol content of .34%, more than 4 times the legal limit.  She was charged with Aggravated DWI, Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, and Moved From Lane Unsafely, returnable to the Webster Town Court.

On May 24, 2015 at 7:27 p.m., State Police Rochester arrested John M. Shone, age 40, from the City of Rochester, for misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic complaint and subsequent stop on Winton Rd, City of Rochester.  Shone submitted to a breath test with a result of .08 BAC.  He was released with tickets and is to appear before the City of Rochester Court on June 4, 2015.

On May 24, 2015 at 3:50 a.m., State Police Rochester arrested James P. Bergeron, age 50, from the Town of Penfield, for misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated following a traffic stop on State Route 104, City of Rochester.  Bergeron submitted to a breath test with a result of .08 BAC.  He was released with tickets and is to appear before the City of Rochester Court on June 18, 2015.

On May 23, 2015 at 8:50 p.m., State Police Rochester arrested Timothy P. Williams, age 50, from the Town of Gates, for felony Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st following a traffic stop for speeding on State Route 104, City of Rochester.  Williams refused a breath test.  He was released on tickets and is to appear before the City of Rochester Court on June 18, 2015.

On 5/15/15 at 11:25 p.m., the New York State Police arrested Ted Karabinas,  47, of Henrietta, during a DWI Sobriety Checkpoint on the Innerloop in the city of Rochester. Karabinas failed all sobriety tests and was arrested at the scene.  He was found to be operating with a .15% BAC.  He was issued citations to appear at the City of Rochester Court at a later date.


On May 8, 2015, at approximately 2:30 a.m. State Police in Massena arrested 29-year-old Luis M. Diaz of Wallington, New Jersey on State Route 37 in the town of Louisville subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop.

Diaz was charged with DWI, and ticketed for no tail lamps and unlicensed operation. Diaz registered a B.A.C. of 0.12%. He was released on tickets and ordered to appear on May 20, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. in the Town of Louisville Court.

Kandi Kennedy DWI in Guilderland NY by NYSP 052315

Guilderland, NY – On May 23, 2015 at approximately 3:55 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 for speeding and multiple other traffic violations.  The driver of the vehicle, Kandi S. Kennedy, 34 of Schenectady, NY was found to be intoxicated.  Kennedy was transported and processed at SP Albany, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.15%.  Kennedy was charged with:

  • Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
Kennedy was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Guilderland Court on June 11, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.

Clarkstown, NY – On May 23, 2015 at approximately 1:49 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle

Jerilee Fonseca DWI arrest NYSP 052415

on I-87 for a traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Jerilee J. Fonseca, 23, of Jersey City, NJ was found to be intoxicated.  Fonseca became physically combative and refused to be place under arrest.  Fonseca was placed under arrest, transported, and processed at SP Tarrytown, where her blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.18%.  Fonseca was charged with:

  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
  • Resisting Arrest, Class A Misdemeanor
Fonseca was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Clarkstown Court on June 4, 2015 at 9:30 a.m.

 

Franciso Ortiz is just happy to be here for his DWI arrest by New York State Police

Albany, NY – On May 23, 2015 at approximately 1:41 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a traffic violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Francisco J. Ortiz, 48 of Albany, NY was found to be intoxicated.  Ortiz was transported and processed at SP Albany, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.08%.  Ortiz was charged with:

  • Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
Ortiz was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Albany Court on June 11, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.

 

Guilderland, NY – On May 23, 2015 at approximately 12:35 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 at Exit 25 on a road check.  The driver of the vehicle, Justin M. Palmquist, 24 of Nanuet, NY was found to be intoxicated.  Palmquist was transported and processed at SP Albany, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.10%. Palmquist was charged with:
  • Driving While Intoxicated, Unclassified Misdemeanor
Palmquist was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Guilderland Court on June 4, 2015 at 5:30 p.m.
