California: Lakeport Police charge Scott Thomas Imrie with DUI following crash

Lakeport Police Officer’s determined through their investigation that Imrie was impaired and driving under the influence of alcohol with initial blood alcohol tests showing he was more than two times the legal limit.

Virginia: Westmoreland County Sheriff C. O. Balderson announces blood draw for DUI leads Virginia

In April 2012, the sheriffs office, under the certification of Senior Deputy Johnson, became the lead law enforcement agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia to conduct in-house blood draws on DUI and DUID arrestees. Since its inception, there have been over 30 blood draws conducted by Senior Deputy Johnson and to date the sheriff’s office is the only law enforcement agency in the state that is utilizing this procedure.
