Maryland: Jason N. Marks nabbed for DUI after crashing into police car and fleeing the scene

A short time later, the vehicle was located behind the Super 8 Motel in the 9900 block, and the driver, identified as Jason Nathaniel Marks, 31, of Temple Hills, was arrested without incident. He was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of a collision and multiple traffic violations. He is being held at the Howard County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.

Newton of Gramercy was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima eastbound on LA Hwy 3125 approaching LA Hwy 3213. At the same time, Harris was driving a 2007 Dodge Charger northbound on LA Hwy 3213 approaching LA Hwy 3125. As both vehicles approached the traffic light controlled intersection, Newton entered the intersection on a red light. As a result the Nissan struck the Dodge on the driver’s side, causing the Dodge to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole.
