Motorcycle driver charged with felony DUI given $100,000 bond

LADSON, S.C. (10/17/2015) — The driver of a motorcycle faced a bond court judge Friday morning after a crash Thursday morning killed his passenger.
S.C. Highway Patrol troopers charged Mau Tau Tuala, 27, with reckless homicide in connection with a 7:45 a.m. crash on U.S. Highway 78. His bond was set at $100,000.
His girlfriend, 28-year-old Ashleigh Spofford of Ladson was a passenger on the motorcycle and died in the crash according to the Charleston County Coroner’s Office. She was wearing her helmet. ….MORE
