PAW PAW, Mich. (Nov. 18, 2012) — A Covert man is facing charges of murder and operating a vehicle under the influence for a deadly drunk driving crash that killed a woman and her two children.

David Glen Johnson, 32, is being held in the Van Buren County jail without bond on the following charges:

• three counts of second degree murder
• three counts of operating while intoxicated causing death
• three counts of operating while license suspended causing death
• one count of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury
• one count of operating while license suspended causing serious injury

GENEVA TWP. (Nov. 14, 2012) - A woman and two young children died after the car in which they were riding collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by an Alabama man with a suspended license who told investigators he had been drinking alcohol, authorities said Wednesday.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says 24-year-old Brittney Renee King, of Bangor, was trapped in the car she was driving following Tuesday night’s crash in Geneva Township. The pickup also collided with another car on the roadway about 50 miles southwest of Grand Rapids before coming to a stop.
