The director for South Padre Island’s Economic Development Corporation may be facing more serious charges after a man she hit in an alleged DWI wreck passed away.  South Padre Island police arrested Darla Lapeyre on two counts of intoxication assault on Saturday.    Investigators told Action 4 News that Lapeyre was under the influence of alcohol when she was behind the wheel and hit a motorcycle with her car.   …MORE
