MARTINSBURG– 2013-11-13 — A Maryland man convicted of causing an alcohol-related car accident in Berkeley County last year that killed his brother and left another man paralyzed was sentenced Tuesday in Berkeley County Circuit Court.
Timothy Lee Kegarise, 33, of Hagerstown, pleaded guilty Aug. 26 to one count of felony driving under the influence causing death and one count of misdemeanor DUI causing injury by way of an information as part of a plea agreement.
He was accused of causing an Oct. 11, 2012, fatal accident on Hedgesville Road that resulted in the death of his brother, Thomas L. Kegarise, 34, also of Hagerstown. A second passenger, Frank Mason Jr., of Hancock, Md., was left permanently paralyzed as a result of the accident. ….MORE
