Three children are now without a mother due to this defendant’s terrible decision to get behind the wheel while intoxicated,” said State’s Attorney Gibbons. “My heart goes out to these children and the family and friends of Samantha Miller who are mourning her death at such a young age.”
Fuentes-Vazquez was taken into custody for a Failure to Appear warrant for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and with a valid driver’s license.

Braiton Holloway pleaded guilty in January to driving under the influence of marijuana in the two-car accident that killed Jacob Garber, 20, of Morton.
Felony charges were dismissed in the plea agreement that followed disclosures by defense lawyer Steve Skelton about the victim, who allegedly was intoxicated and failed to stop at the intersection of Mitsubishi Motorway and West College Avenue on Normal’s far west side.
