One of the two charter bus drivers arrested for drunken driving in Yellowstone National Park last Friday while hauling a bus load of Bozeman middle school students had been arrested three times before for driving under the influence, public records show.
Jack Kane Parrent Jr. was convicted in Columbia Falls in 1991 and Lewis and Clark County in 2001 for drunken driving, records provided by the Montana Department of Justice show.
Parrent was also charged with a DUI in Vancouver, Wash., in 1998 and has a warrant out for his arrest stemming from that charge, a clerk in Clark County Washington told the Chronicle this week. ….MORE

Bozeman Schools Superintendent Dr. Kirk Miller says he was surprised when he got the call Friday morning that two charter bus drivers who were taking a group of 98 Sacajawea seventh graders on a field trip to Yellowstone National Park were under arrest for allegedly drinking and driving.
“Its just one of those things I would never have expected that that kind of thing would happen on any trip we’ve ever taken. And when it did I’m proud of the group of people who worked diligently to ensure student safety,” said Miller.….MORE
