Perera was behind the wheel Thursday on the Selmon Expressway eastbound when she lost control of her car, hit the Felipak’s car and sent it into the westbound lanes, where it was hit by two other vehicles and burst into flames

Around 2;07 a.m. on January 11, Tampa FHP Troopers were investigating a traffic crash along the SR-618 eastbound travel lanes on the lower deck at the 11 Milepost. The roadway was closed for the crash investigation and the Tampa Police Department was on-scene assisting with the roadway closure.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Carrington Carlyle Cox was driving on the Expressway and failed to exit and proceeded to go around the road closure
