PARKERSBURG – A Wood County man charged with DUI causing death after a Sunday accident was arraigned Wednesday in Wood County Magistrate Court.
Charles A. McFee, 23, 568 Happy Valley Road, Parkersburg, was arraigned before Magistrate Donna Jackson and is in custody in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
Michael T. Galloway, 23, of Davisville, the passenger in McFee’s car, died Sunday afternoon at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. McFee and Galloway were transported from the scene to Camden Clark Medical Center’s Memorial Campus.  ….MORE

West Virginia: don’t expect these two Parkersburg firefighters to necessarily be sober, but they will likely keep jobs after DUI arrests

PARKERSBURG -City Council’s decisions to amend the personnel policy will likely allow two firefighters to keep their jobs, despite pending DUI charges.
Tuesday members of Parkersburg City Council amended the first reading of proposed policy changes, stating the new rules will not apply to any pending cases involving the revocation or suspension of a city employee’s driver’s license.
The approved change affects two city firefighters who are facing DUI charges.
One firefighter, Patrick James Davis who reached an agreement with the city to retain his job in April, has an Aug. 23 hearing in Wood County Magistrate Court for a DUI charge.
A second, Carl Andrew Nestor, has an Aug. 11 hearing in magistrate court on a DUI charge.
