Washington State Patrol reports DUI Driver Joseph Spinks whacked motorcycle from behind, seriously injures Thomas D. Snyder
Washington State Patrol Trooper K. Jacobsen reports that on May 27, 2017, at about 7:30 pm, a 2014 Ford Focus operated by Joseph D. Spinks, 38, of Arlington, Washington, was northbound on I5 at milepost 207 in lane three at Smoky Point rest area.
The trooper reports that Spinks drove his car across lane two and three and struck the back of a 2003 Harley Davidson operated by Thomas D. Snyder, 54, of Camano Island which came to rest in lane two of the highway. Spinks pulled his car to the side of the left shoulder about 300 yards from the wrecked motorcycle.
Charges of DUI vehicular assault are pending against Spinks in Snohomish County, who was not injured. Snyder was taken to a hospital.

DUI driver Adrian Smith ran into embankment after blowing stop sign
Washington State Patrol Trooper C. Anderson reports that Adrian Blair Smith, 38, of Sedro Woolley was operating a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder on Sneeoosh Rd. at Reservation Road in La Conner at about 9:36 pm on May 27, 2017, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a dirt embankment.
A juvenile in the Pathfinder was injured. Charges of DUI and vehicular assault are pending against Smith. Smith and the juvenile were taken to Island Hospital.
