GREENBRIER COUNTY (02/10/2015) A man convicted of driving under the influence and killing a woman and a three-year-old was sentenced to jail on Tuesday.

Brodey Sheppard is guilty of two counts of driving under the influence resulting in death. He received two sentences of one year in jail and $1000 in fines. The sentences are to run concurrently.

According to the indictment, in February 2013, Sheppard was driving under the influence in Lewisburg with four passengers. The car hit a tree and caught on fire. Ann Witt, 63, was killed on impact. Shaelynn Morris, 3, died later. Sheppard and the other passengers also sustained serious injuries.
