Alaska: Anchorage Police Officer Barry Hetlet works the midnight shift

Anchorage Police Officer Barry Hetlet patrols the downtown and Fairview districts of the city from 11 p.m to 9 a.m. four days a week. Hetlet describes his work and shares his thoughts about a side of the city many never see. Hetlet and other APD mid-shift officers were photographed over several nights in 2013 and 2014.
