Arizona: DUI task force gave 101 lucky customers a night in jail as winners in sobriety checks for Cinco de Mayo

TUCSON – The Southern Arizona DUI Task Force arrested 101 people for DUI in three days during their Cinco de Mayo deployment last week.
Officers from Tucson Police, Pima County Sheriff’s Department, and various other law enforcement agencies made 1,810 total contacts between 8 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Tucson area – the average blood-alcohol content of those tested was .153, nearly double the legal limit of .08.
