California: DUI driver Celedonio Rivera wrecked; didn’t have license to drive sober or drunk

PALM DESERT, CALIF. (Oct. 11, 2014) — According to Riverside Sheriff’s Department Sergeant Jorge Ramirez on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at about 7:05 PM, officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to the area of Gerald Ford Drive and Cook Street, Palm Desert, in reference to a report of a traffic collision.

This investigation determined that Celedonio Rivera, 41 of Palm Springs, was intoxicated at the time of the collision.  Rivera made an unsafe turn and collided with another vehicle, Honda CRX. Rivera and the other driver did not sustain any injuries.  Rivera was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence and for being an unlicensed driver.
