Efrain Castro Cuevas Coachella Police DUI 020215

According to Sgt. Adam Elders of the Coachella Police, on Monday, February 2, 2015, at 12:12 a.m., Coachella police officers responded to Leoco Ln. and Avenue 50 regarding a non-injury traffic collision.

Officers arrived and learned a Silver Kia Spectra sedan had collided with the curb of the roadway.  No one was injured, but alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.

The driver of the Kia, Efrain Castro Cuevas, age 41 of Coachella, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.  Cuevas was examined by medical staff at a local hospital before he was booked into the county jail in the city of Indio.

The Coachella Police Department encourages all drivers not to drink and drive. To report drunk drivers, please call 911.
