SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. 11/09/2015 — Less than 24 hours after an alleged drunken driver plowed into two seventh-graders walking to school in San Francisco’s Marina neighborhood, city officials were scrambling Thursday to boost safety on the stretch of Bay Street where the accident unfolded.

Meanwhile, 30-year-old Kirsten Andereck, a former debutante, was charged with four felonies Thursday including driving under the influence, causing great bodily injury, and child endangerment after being arrested at the crash scene and making $200,100 bail.
