California: Indian Wells Police report DUI arrest; Leonard Hayes didn’t run the red light, he ran into the red light

On Saturday, June 6, 2015, officers from the Indian Wells Police Department responded to a report of a single vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of Washington Street and Miles Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, Leonard Hayes, 39 years old, residing in Thousand Palms, failed to maintain a straight course of travel as he drove south on Washington Street. Hayes’ vehicle collided with a traffic control light located in the northwest corner of the intersection of Washington Street and Miles Avenue.

Hayes was arrested for driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after he was treated and released from a local hospital. Hayes was booked into the county jail in Indio for this incident.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages the motoring public to not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Joseph Harding DUI arrest La Quinta Police Ca 060615

According to Riverside Sheriff’s Department, on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at 3:29 A.M.  the La Quinta Police Department responded to a non-injury traffic collision in the 51000 block of Avenida Herrera in the city of La Quinta.  A tan Nissan Altima, was traveling northbound on Avenida Herrera, left the roadway and collided with plants in the front yard of a residence.  The driver, Joseph Harding, age 38 of Palm Desert was uninjured.

The investigation revealed that alcohol was a factor in this collision. Harding was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.  Harding was transported to a local area hospital as a precaution prior to being booked at the Riverside County jail in Indio.
