California: Lexi Conrad must have had too much communion wine for Palm Sunday; tossed in slammer on DUI charge after smashing into stopped BMW while tooling around in her Benz

Lexi Conrad, DUI on Palm Sunday in Palm Desert crash

Palm Desert, Ca. 2014-04-15  — On Sunday, April 13, 2014 at about 8:48 a.m. officers from the Palm Desert Police Department responded to the  intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Desert Breezes, in reference to a non-injury hit and run traffic collision.  The driver of a black Mercedes-Benz was traveling westbound on Fred Waring Drive approaching the intersection  with Desert Breezes. The black Mercedes-Benz collided into the back of a red BMW that was stopped for the red signal light.

After the collision, the black Mercedes-Benz fled the scene westbound on Fred Waring Drive. A short time later,  the black Mercedes-Benz was located in the shopping center at the corner of Fred Waring Drive and Highway 111.

This investigation revealed that alcohol was a factor during this hit and run traffic collision. The driver of the  Mercedes-Benz, Lexi Conrad, age 18 from Coto De Caza California, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated  and hit and run. Lexi Conrad was later booked into Riverside County jail in the city of Indio. Lexi Conrad and her  occupant were not injured as a result of the collision. The occupant of the red BMW was also not injured from  this collision.
