Edward Ramirez manslaughter hit and run DUI in fatal Salinas CA 122614

On December 26, 2014, a felony hit and run with injuries occurred on East Lake Street at Soledad Street. Miguel Lomeli, 54, was severely injured in the collision.

After an extensive investigation, Edward Ramirez (Fast Eddie), 35, was identified as the driver.

On December 30th, Ramirez was arrested for the hit and run. Yesterday Miguel Lomeli died from injuries suffered in the collision.

The Police Department will now be requesting additional charges including Vehicular manslaughter.

This was the tenth fatal traffic collision in Salinas for 2014.

Six of the ten involved a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Last year there were twelve fatal collisions in Salinas.
