California: Santa Clarita cops are ready to roll with DUI and driver’s license checkpoint tonight

From KHTS
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Unit will conduct a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint on Friday at an undisclosed location within the Santa Clarita city limits between the hours of 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Checkpoints are placed in locations that have the greatest opportunity for achieving drunk and drugged driving deterrence and to provide the greatest safety for deputies and the public.
Deputies will be contacting drivers passing through the checkpoint for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment. DUI checkpoints, along with regularly scheduled high visibility DUI enforcement, serve as a proven deterrent with the goal of removing impaired drivers, and heightening awareness of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
