2014-03-31 —- According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept. — On Friday,  March 28, 2014, at 11:59 PM, the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force  (CVVCGTF) initiated a five minute pursuit of a suspected drunk driver in the  city of Coachella that ended in a traffic collision on Genoa Street and Avenue  52 in Coachella. The Coachella Community Action Team responded and assisted  with the apprehension of the driver who fled the scene on foot.  The  driver, Octavio Hernandez, age 27 of North Shore, was arrested for evading and  suspicion of driving while impaired with alcohol.  Hernandez was  transported to a local hospital for precautionary medical treatment then booked  at the Riverside County jail in Indio.
