California: Thomas Vang charged with DUI for killing Zia Yang when he lost control and slammed into pole

SACRAMENTO – A driver was arrested after a car crash killed one person and injured another Sunday morning.
According to Sacramento police officers, the driver of an Acura Integra was traveling southbound on Highway 99 near Fruitridge road with two passengers in his car around 2 a.m.
The driver, 33-year-old Thomas Vang, lost control of the car and traveled onto the dirt embankment before colliding with a streetlight pole.
One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene and the second passenger suffered major injuries, police said.
