Sgt. Steven E. Sexton, 52, was not present in the court since his charge is a misdemeanor. His attorney, Christopher Miller, entered the plea for him in Department 9 at the Yolo Superior Court. Sexton was sentenced to three years probation and a fine. He will also be required to take a nine-month education course.
