California: Victor Rojas charged with DUI for nighttime plowing of field with his vehicle

On Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:19 P.M. the Coachella Police Department responded to the area of Avenue 54 and Tyler reference a single vehicle running off the roadway into a dirt field. The driver, Victor Rojas (age 23 of Coachella) was located walking a short distance from the collision scene. Rojas was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/ and or drugs. Rojas was taken to a local area hospital for a precaution prior to being booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio.

On Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 8:09 PM, officers from the Rancho Mirage Police Department responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident at Frank Sinatra Dr. and Da Vall Dr. The investigation revealed a Chrysler van was traveling south on Da Vall Dr. and entered the intersection at Frank Sinatra Dr. The vehicle struck a curb at the t-intersection and left the roadway and continued into a dry riverbed south of Frank Sinatra Dr.
The driver was not located inside the vehicle. Officers from the Rancho Mirage Police Department and firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department with the assistance from a California Highway Patrol Helicopter searched the area for the possible injured driver. Jesus Olea, age 31 of Cathedral City was located in the area and determined to be the driver of the vehicle. Olea was arrested for suspicioun of driving under the influence of alcohol and booked into the jail in Banning.

Andres Carranza, DUI, Coachella Police, 042014

When motorist manages to cause another to collide with a police car while driving DUI, its time for a jail cell
On Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 9:32 P.M the Coachella Police Department responded to Avenue 53 at Harrison Street reference a multi-vehicle traffic collision. Andres Carranza (age 35 of Coachella) was driving a Mitsubishi northbound on Harrison approaching Avenue 53.
A Nissan Frontier was traveling southbound Harrison, making a left turn onto Avenue 53, when the Mitsubishi struck the Nissan. The Nissan spun around in the intersection and struck a Coachella Police patrol unit that was stopped for a red signal light on Avenue 53, causing minor damage to the patrol unit.
The Coachella Police Officer was not injured and the driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries. Carranza was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol/ and or drugs and taken to a local area hospital as a precaution prior to being booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio.
