A man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and drunk driving after fleeing from officers and killing a pedestrian last night, according to Roseville police. Oleg Tarasuk, 50, of Roseville was booked into Placer County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence causing death and also gross vehicular manslaughter. His bail is set at $275,000. Police said Tarasuk was reported by a citizen to have been driving in a reckless manner about 8 p.m. Tuesday near Junction Boulevard and Washington Boulevard. The caller also told dispatch that Tarasuk’s pickup truck had come to a stop at a recycling area across from the Placer County fairgrounds.
