California: Wrong-Way Freddie Zazueta busted for DUI after plowing up median strip

 

On Wednesday, June 18th, 2014, about 2:08 AM, officers from the Indian Wells Police Department responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision on Hwy. 111 east of Cook St. in Indian Wells.

The investigation determined the driver, Fredrick Zazueta, age 24 of La Quinta, had been traveling westbound on Hwy. 111 east of Cook St. when he lost control of his vehicle.  The vehicle drove across the center landscaped median causing minor damage to landscape lighting and a city sign and came to rest in the eastbound lanes facing west.  It was determined intoxication may have been a factor in this collision and Zazueta was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio for driving under the influence.
