Arizona: Jesus Cabrera-Molina pleaded guilty to killing Phoenix Police Officer Daryl Raetz; booze and cocaine joyride hit and run

Jesus Cabrera-Molina, the man accused of hitting him with his SUV, was set to learn his punishment on Tuesday morning, but it has been postponed to September 12.

He pleaded no contest to negligent homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal injury accident after originally pleading not guilty to charges of manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident.

Prosecutors say Raetz was conducting a DUI stop back in may of 2013 when Cabrera-Molina hit him and drove off.

“This is a tragedy that should never have happened,” police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. “The guy on the motorcycle is a Philadelphia School District police officer who was on his way to work the midnight shift.
