Chicago: man ran down woman in crosswalk; cops say he was full up on booze

A 69-year-old Far South Side man whose blood alcohol level was “extremely high” at the time has been charged with a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a woman on the South Side on Tuesday morning.
Sam Manyfield of the 400 block of West 126th St. in the West Pullman neighborhood has been charged with aggravated DUI, reckless homicide with a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death, according to police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines.
